To say that “I’ve-traveled-to-London” would be a bit silly, considering that, for 4 years — from 1993 to 1997 — while I was getting my Bachelor’s Degree, the UK was my second home. Sure, I was in Kent; but, London was only a short ride away.
After 1997, I went back there hundreds of times. The last time was in April 2013; I went there for the Easter break — mainly because I was sooo bored out of my mind in Finland that, I felt I had to get away, if only for a few days. London seemed like a good choice.
Having been there so many times, it would be hard to draw any conclusions, either way, about what kind of city it is. London is a grand city; no doubt about that. One of the largest in Europe; home to “God Save The Queen”………I mean, er, the Queen. London will probably always remain an enigma. And why not? It is, afterall, the very center of what was once the world’s largest kingdom — The British Empire.
But, no need for a history lesson. We’re not here to discuss history, are we ? :=)) Nope, my website is about traveling. Most people today have been to London at one time or another. Some still dream of visiting there for the first time.
Whichever category you belong to, no doubt London is, or was, at some point or another, on your to-do list :=))))
